Sunday 22nd November 10am – 4pm
Come all ye Faithful and sing carols to the cows!
Woodlands Organic Farm, of Kirton, near Boston will be holding a Christmas open day between 10am-4pm on Sunday.
Admission is free.
There will be tractor and trailer rides around the award winning organic farm, a chance to sing carols to the Lincoln Red Cows led by the Patchwork Singers, an all day barbecue with teas, mince pies and mulled wine, and numerous food and craft stalls.
‘This is the first Christmas Open Day we’ve ever hosted at Woodlands and it should be fun’ said farmer Andrew Dennis.
‘Visitors will be able to see the farm and the rare breed animals, and then sample some of the farm’s produce along with delicious things exhibited by local producers. Arts activities will also be taking place including quilt making, drawing led by artist in residence Rosie Redzia, and pottery painting. Lop eared rabbits, hedgehogs, canal art, face painting… There should be something for everyone. We look forward to seeing you!’
Woodlands Farm practices an open farm policy and hosts school visits and open days. A past winner of the organic producer of the year award it delivers around 2000 boxes of its organic produce each week to people living predominantly in Lincolnshire.
The farm’s Summer Open Day attracted over 2000 visitors.
